Energy relief plan is going to be used as a ‘springboard’ by Albanese govt moving forward

Senior lecturer for politics at Monash University Dr Zareh Ghazarian says he suspects Labor’s energy relief plan is going to be used as a “springboard” by the Albanese government moving forward.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a suite of measures to address rising power bills, which were agreed upon at National Cabinet, and parliament will be recalled to pass the legislation.
“I suspect this is going to be used as a springboard by this government moving forward to demonstrate that they can actually tackle these sorts of pressures head-on,” Dr Ghazarian told Sky News Australia.
