Bali bomb maker released from jail early

The main bomb maker in the 2002 Bali bombings has been released early from jail in Indonesia.

Umar Patek served 12 years of his 20-year sentence for his role in the attack which killed 202 people.

He has been granted parole after completing a deradicalisation program.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned Mr Patek’s expected early release while commemorating the 20-year anniversary of the bombings in October.
