State coal price caps may be a ‘hard argument’ for Albanese to win: Pitt

Nationals MP Keith Pitt says a $125-a-tonne domestic coal price cap may lead to an “increase” in the cost of coal for some “government-owned generators” in Queensland.
“Because hey have very long-term contracts from their own mines,” he said.
“So they’ve been putting a giant electricity tax on the people of Queensland for many years.”
“I think it’s going to be a very hard argument for Mr Albanese to win.”
