Japan set to increase ‘strategic personality’ after meetings with the US

The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says developing Japan’s “strategic personality” so it can carry its full share of the military burden in the pacific region is a “big deal”.

Japan is set to join Australia in increasing military exercises, following a high-level meeting between the US and Australia in Washington DC.

“It would be great indeed if we could get Japan to join AUKUS,” he told Sky News Australia.
