NT remove proposal to ban teachers saying ‘boys’ and ‘girls’

Sky News Darwin Bureau Chief Matt Cunningham says the Northern Territory government has dropped a proposal to ban teachers from calling students boys and girls.

Mr Cunningham said the government has released new draft guidelines which have “taken out” the controversial ban.

“It’s also taken out another quite controversial proposal in the original document which was that schools could help students as young as 14 transition their gender without their parents support,” he added.
