‘Difficult discussions’ within the Nationals ‘expected’: Party split over Indigenous Voice

Nationals MP Keith Pitt says the Indigenous Voice to Parliament would divide Australians, not unite them, with the Nationals split over their opposition to the Voice.

Nationals frontbencher Andrew Gee and the West Australian state branch have broken ranks and publicly backed the Voice.

“The Nationals have difficult discussions as you’d expect,” Mr Pitt told Sky News Australia.

“We are one people, one country, and unfortunately, Labor’s Voice is looking to divide us, not unite us.”
