Euthanasia Bill sparks debate among Northern Territory Parliament

A bill restoring the rights of the Northern Territory to legislate on euthanasia is expected to pass the Senate next week but there’s been furious reaction after Northern Territory Senator Jacinta Price voted against the bill.

“There has been very little in the way of safeguards with regard to some of our most vulnerable members of this country who reside in the Northern Territory where I’m from,” Ms Price said.

“I do not trust that this current government can make the right decisions for some of our most vulnerable.”
